Institutional settlement infrastructure

Settlement,
coordinated.

Fiat and digital-asset settlement, with banking, liquidity and custody arranged around each institutional transaction.

T-0 / Same-day target

From instruction to settlement

A defined route.
Assigned responsibilities.

The institution sets the transaction parameters. Acquit coordinates the counterparties, funding requirements and settlement instructions for both legs.

Acquit coordinates the instructions between the parties, in either direction.

Illustrative sequence. Funding, timing and counterparties depend on the agreed route.

01

Define the transaction.

Specify the funding currency or asset, amount, beneficiary and destination. Transactions may originate in fiat, including USD, or in digital assets, subject to eligibility.

02

Agree the counterparties.

Acquit establishes the banking, liquidity and custody arrangements with the relevant providers. The institution reviews terms, funding instructions and timing before committing.

03

Coordinate both legs.

Following onboarding and required checks, the designated counterparties perform their respective roles. Acquit coordinates instructions and confirmations against the agreed settlement terms.

T-0 settlement

Same-day settlement,
on agreed conditions.

T-0 denotes settlement on the agreed transaction date. Acquit targets same-day settlement on eligible corridors by aligning the fiat and digital-asset legs with the counterparty responsible for each.

Before execution, Acquit confirms funding requirements, banking cut-off times, available liquidity and counterparty readiness for the corridor.

T-0 is a target, not a guarantee. Completion depends on these arrangements and on the required compliance checks. Same-day settlement does not imply instant or simultaneous transfer.

Custody & compliance

Control remains defined.

Asset control

Clear allocation of control.

The institution and its designated banking or custody providers retain the applicable account and wallet controls. Each provider’s role and responsibilities are identified before settlement.

Transaction controls

Controls across the full route.

Acquit coordinates KYB/KYC, sanctions screening and counterparty due diligence with the relevant parties. Each transaction must meet the requirements of the jurisdictions and providers involved.

Before you proceed

Practical considerations.

Must the institution already hold digital assets?

No. Provide the funding currency and intended destination. Acquit assesses the required conversion, counterparties and settlement route.

Is settlement possible without prefunding?

Funding requirements depend on the corridor and counterparties and are agreed before execution. Reducing reliance on prefunded balances is a longer-term ambition, not a capability available on every corridor today.

What information is required to begin?

The institution, funding and destination currencies or assets, indicative size, jurisdictions and required timing. Acquit then reviews corridor eligibility and confirms next steps.
